Nothing beats having a good giggle along to some funny pranks....don't try any of these on me please!!!
This video was posted this year from the RM WAGs to help support their loved ones currently serving this Christmas. Drop it a like/favourite!
Thermostats eh? You must be thinking I've lost the plot completely! Or that I've hit my mid-forties a little too quickly. What could a student possibly post about a thermostat? I'm not entirely sure, but I stumbled (quite literally) across this on one of my many internet explorations! It's magical as far as thermostats go!
Over the long bank holiday weekend past, I went off adventuring to England again, as I always do when opportunity presents itself! This time Jordan and I visited the Peak District with the aim to have a good time and maybe conquer a few phobias while at it. Despite my pleading to go horse-riding in the highest village in Britain (Flash), Jordan won out and we went Tree Top Adventuring in Buxton.
Well that was an experience!! I highly recommend this class if you're trying to get fit! I had thought that this class would've been based on martial arts moves/stances...but it was more like boxing! Sadly in my case I am far from coordinated, but I still enjoyed the class immensely. For the first 10minutes or so was warm up so punching along to music, follow by 10minute circuit - running in a circle and jumping, ducking, side stepping etc then 10minutes of strength and tone, suicides, press-ups, ab crunches and squats.
Definitely don't go to this class if you have no self motivation or don't enjoy pushing yourself. The sweat will be lashing off you but you'll feel great for it, and sore the next day if your all into it. So I went to my yoga class on Saturday morning and I have to say that all-in-all it was very good. It was a bit different from yoga classes I have been to previously, there was a lot more focus on core strength and less on the relaxing.
The instructor was very nice and showed a variety of poses in beginner, intermediate and expert, so the class catered for everyone. The only thing that wasn't ideal about the class was it's location. It was still in the main gym and despite getting the music turned down (it later came on loud again towards the end of the class), it wasn't ideal for concentration and relaxation. However due to the recent renovations, Belfast Pure Gym are hoping to erect a wall that will provide a separate enclosed studio room. I recently joined Pure Gym in Belfast and really loving it. Jordan was super kind and made me out a program which I am sticking to religiously to try and get more toned and increase my core strength - without bulking up - and this goes hand in hand with my new diet. I have signed up to attend two classes - Yoga and Combat - and hoping that these will go really well. The Belfast gym is closed atm due to renovations, but will be reopening in Friday 17th. I will definitely report back with my gym class experience!
Ok...so, baby's first blog....
Actually don't have anything to say, just wanted to do a test run of this whole blog malarky to see what happens :) Debating what movie to see tonight. Will either be Ted (meh) Brave (better) Batman (seen) or Step Up 4 (bleugh). |
